What does the groundhog say?

It's February. And it's winter, apparently we have six more weeks in store, yay! (insert sarcasm). I certainly don't like time to zoom by and if it means more winter to slow things down I'm more than okay with it. However, this season in our parts has been mostly dreary! A lot of inversion, rain and gray skies. We did have a day where the sun was shining bright, it was a decent temp and we definitely made the most of it! A sneak peek if you will, of spring!! I'm just tired of those nasty flu bugs and germs being passed around, we are a warmer weather fam for sure!
Lately we have been in project mode around our home. Doing small upgrades and making our space ours. :) We got ourselves a king size bed, finally!! And totally revamped the office making it an awesome playroom for the kiddies. Just a couple more things and it'll be totally done. Both boys love it and have so much fun playing and learning in there!
I will post soon some before and afters for ya.
Pizza night here, thanks to Super Bowl Sunday leftovers! Go Hawks!!
Have an enjoyable evening all of you!

Bless and be blessed

Hiya people! Writing from bed as my kiddies still sleep, they were tucccckered!  We got back last night from such a fun weekend away. My sweet cousin friend turned 30 this month and her husband planned a surprise party/weekend to celebrate. We were thrilled we were able to make it and it truly couldn't have gone better. She was happy to see everyone and was shocked at the surprises! Her reaction and appreciativeness blessed our socks off.
I am super thankful I married a man who loves adventure and is willing to hop in the car and go on fun little weekenders as we call them. He works hard, we save and make it happen. Traveling with our boys makes it even better, we all had the most terrific time and memories of course were made.
We stayed a night in Hood River, Oregon and we are impressed! Such a cool town and we are already planning on visiting in summer. We had some incredible food at a couple different places, talked and laughed over coffee(a must) and even got to karaoke and dance some! It really is so important to show people you care, it might not always be convenient or simple..might cost a little but your heart will be so full and happy, the best reward!
Happy Monday!!

01.01

Happy New Year everyone and welcome 2015! As you can tell with my lack of entries our family has still had much going on. Nothing too busy but we've been lucky to have my sweet husband home from work this whole week! It's been awesome and enjoyable. Really pleasant and surprisingly time is not getting away from us.
Since my hubby and I married almost six years ago we've made it an annual tradition to ring in the new year in a cute little ski resort town just a couple hours from where we live. The last couple of trips though we have skipped with the little guys being just that, little. And of course we wouldn't dream of leaving our precious babes behind! And although we chose to stay in town for NYE festivities we opted for a hotel home to celebrate! Nothing sounded better than swimming, hot tub soaking and watching tv all night in a room you didn't have to clean up yourself! The kiddies had the best time too which always is priceless for us as parents.
Now we are back in our element (safe to say we are all big homebodies) and back to our project we've been working on. With two tiny boys we have definitely started to outgrow our cozy space so have been brainstorming ideas to make the most of the room we do have. Sooo, we decided to convert our office into a playroom! Which takes time and work. Especially with a built in desk, eek! I'll definitely post pics of the finished product, our oldest is so excited watching it all come together! Whether you have a set resolution or just big dreams, have such fun making things happen! Cheers my friends!
Love.

a tidbit.

Well, heyy. Again, been a stranger here lately so wanted so stop in and say hello! Our birthday boy celebrated a week ago and since then it's been busy! Feels like it anyway. This past weekend we went to a hockey game as a fam, so awesome! And enjoyed the program our church put on, incredible..Ryder has been pretending he's on a stage and belting out "Jesus" songs. Literally, one of the cutest things ever! Can't believe Christmas is just NINE days away! We still have a teeny bit of shoppin to do but we are definitely not stressing. This is such a fun season and we are loving every minute! Our advent time each day has been a treat and a tradition we will hold on to every year. Any special things you do with your family? I'd be all ears to hear about them! Over and out for now!
