Okay, so really coffee isn't exclusive to Friday's but it makes it so much sweeter! Coffee on the weekends is like vacation. Says, the stay at home mom. :) Really though, we love the countdown to Friday because NO school for my kiddo and NO work for the hubs. Saturdays and Sundays are our jam. Also, the days I have my partner in crime all day to balance out the rowdiness of our wild guys! Someone else to lay down the law, lol. Which is so nice because let me tell you, terrible twos and threes have nothing on six going on sixteen! Most of the time the boys are a dream and it's a given that messes will happen, things will be climbed, bumps and bruises turn up. However, once a kid enters school, it's a whole different ball game. A new found independence, the whines seem to expand and even more negotiations. Their vocabulary increases and their world in general is even broader. Which is amazing and awesome and incredible but challenges us as parents in a new way! Old ways of discipline don't hold up as well and we are learning now that taking away toys or movies is what helps these days. All the while we have a three year old who wants nothing more than to be JUST LIKE his big bro, wants to dress himself(picking out Christmas sweaters included) and wishes he too could be a big kid in school. So thankful to be their mama and strive every day to show them how good God is and how much they are loved!
This past week we got hit with a weird one day cold, that slowly made its way to everyone but luckily we seem to be moving from it. And just in time because the forecast the next few days shows 60° temps! Much appreciated since it was wet and dreary most of last week as well. The plan these next couple of days is pretty much just to enjoy the weather! Hope you do too. :)
